Cynthia Kay Chamberlin, 69, of Spring Mills, passed away at home on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Born in Woodycrest, PA on December 16, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Paul Miller Shawley and Lillian Loraine (Lambert) Shawley. On December 16, 1972, in Oak Hall, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” A. Chamberlin, who survives at home after sharing 47 years of marriage together.

Cynthia was a 1969 graduate of Penns Valley High School. She dedicated her life to taking care of her home and raising her family, a job that she was proud to do!
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by their two daughters, Theresa M. Featherman (John) of Centre Hall and Tanya K. Cooper (Alvin) of Tennessee, seven grandchildren, Kayla Wetzel (George), Austin Wetzel, Alyssa Cooper, Derek Cooper, Evin Cooper, Olivia Cooper and Ava Cooper, and two great grandchildren, Adriana Emel and George Thomas IV. Also surviving is one sister, Sandra Rockey (William) of Spring Mills and one brother, Donald Shawley (Donna) of Millheim and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Paula Davis and Connie Lehman, and one brother, Robert Shawley.
Cynthia enjoyed music, watching her soap operas, and shopping with her sister. She loved Facebook and being able to keep in touch with her loved ones. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spoiling them. She treasured every moment she spent with them.
There will be a public viewing held on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 10-11am, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. David A. Downer officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
