Carla Kay Myers of Milesburg died on August 7, 2019 at her home that she shared with her twin sister Carole. Carla was one of the first twins to be born in the Jersey Shore hospital. Carla's constant stay in her life was her twin sister Carole Myers Gerst. Carole refused to let Carla live in a nursing home and refused to be deterred from a path that she felt that God had given her to follow.

Carla had many challenging times because of a devastating cerebral hemorrhage and conquered many obstacles that only her strength and her sister’s love helped to overcome.

Carla had attended Penn state collage studying Biology.

Both Carla and Carole belong to the rainbow girls seeing her drill team come into many State Championships, Carla also belonged to the Eastern Star then joined the Catholic Church which had given her much peace. Carla was a horse lover/equestrian that took her horse to win the Grand Nationals. Carla worked as a physical assistant for Susquaview Home and then took on the position of a correctional officer at Clinton County Correctional Facility.

Proceeded in death was her mother Vera (Ryan) Myers and father Reeder Myers (RK).

In addition to her twin sister, Carole Myers Gerst, she is survived by a brother, Michael K. Myers, Sr., of Lock Haven, and a sister-in-law, Jean Myers, of Jersey Shore.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carla’s memory to any of the No-Kill Animal Shelters in the Centre and Clinton County areas.
