Obituary

Diane Marie Williams, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born on July 24, 1947, in Bellefonte, the daughter of Donald R. Biddle, who survives at home in Bellefonte, and the late Eleanor (Musser) Biddle.

She was a 1969 graduate of Mansfield State College with a degree in Home Economics. She taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 30 years, first in the Susquenita School District and then at Bellefonte High School for 27 years.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte, where she served for a number of years as Superintendent of the Sunday School and Director of Vacation Bible School. Diane enjoyed traveling with her husband, working with stained glass and other crafts, playing Mahjong with friends, and spending time with her cat, Rosie. She was thankful for all of her home caregivers, family and friends, and for her husband, Scott, for their help during her illness.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 38 years, Scott Williams, and by two sons, Matthew Condon of Reston, VA, and Timothy Williams of Pittsburg, PA. She is also survived by a sister, Karen Younce of Anthony, KS; and two brothers, Kenneth Biddle of Lewistown, PA, and John Biddle of Warrior’s Mark, PA.

Mr. Williams (yes, even after all these years you remain, Mr. Williams), Mrs. Condon/Mrs. Williams was my home economics teacher in the late 70's. While I loved Mrs. Fisher, Diane was a wonderful addition to the home ec. classes. I remember teasing her saying, "Mr. Williams sure has been hanging around here a lot, I think he has the hots for you." She would blush and "Oh cut it out!" Imagine my joy when you married - I have always enjoyed being "right"! There was no doubt about her love and devotion to her sons. Her eyes always smiled when she spoke of them. I am so glad you shared so many years of happiness; she was a lovely individual. I feel privileged to have had her in my life and as a instructor. Please accept my sincere condolences. Until we all meet on that distant shore then, God bless and keep you, Lori Leathers Kerschner

I’m very sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. Grief can be so hard especially the first year and though it may seem like death is the final state of things God’s word offers the hope of seeing those lost in death again during the promised resurrection. Christ spoke of this resurrection which means a standing back up, a restoration to life. At John 5:28,29 and John 6:40 he says in part “do not marvel at this there is going to be a resurrection...I will resurrect him on the last day”. So be assured you can be reunited with your loved one at a time when all things are made new. A time of true peace and security! You can read this at Psalms 37:10,11,29 and Revelation 21:4,5. There are many more heartwarming scriptures that give comfort and hope. For more please visit jw.org
