Obituary

Virginia “Ginny” R. Youstic, 70, formerly of Kylertown, of Bellefonte, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Philipsburg, on October 31, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Blair C. and Alice (Whited) Reese. On September 25, 1971, she married the love of her life, Anthony Youstic, who survives her at home after sharing 47 years of marriage together.

Throughout her life, Ginny focused mostly on raising her family with her husband, Anthony.

Along with her husband, she is survived by one son, Andrew Youstic and his wife Jennifer, of Bellefonte. Also surviving are numerous adoring nieces and nephews, and one brother, Blair Reese (Pat), of Curwensville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dixie Henry.

Ginny was extremely devoted to family. She enjoyed drama and murder shows. She especially loved cooking and art, specifically she enjoyed drawing her cartoons. Her sense of humor was one of a kind! She was always seen smiling and laughing. Ginny will be remembered as the wonderful friend, and very caring and loving spouse and mother by all who knew her. Christmas was central to her life, family, and faith. Although her family and friends will hold onto their precious memories of years past, they find comfort in the fact that she is truly “home” for this Christmas.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9am-12 noon, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ginny’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin Street #206, State College, PA 16803 or Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.

I am so sorry for your loss. The scriptures point to a time in the near future when God will rescue those who have died from the grave. “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them. Where are your stings, O Death? Where is your destructiveness, O Grave? Compassion will be concealed from my eyes.” (Hosea 13:14) God will bring those who have died back to life, and he will destroy death. No more will we deal with the stings of death. Rather, all living will have the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. May this hope for the future comfort your grieving hearts.
