Obituary

Bertha (Birdie) Louise Weaver, 90, of Boalsburg passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Aristacare/Hearthside in State College, PA. She was born November 21, 1928 in Manorville, PA, daughter of Orville and Delma (Campbell) Klingensmith.

Birdie was retired from the PA Department of Labor, Bureau of Unemployment Compensation. She loved gardening, fishing, camping and being with her family. She enjoyed working in her church genealogy library and joining her relief society group. Birdie was a kind, considerate soul who cared deeply for other people and her generosity knew no bounds.

Birdie is survived by her two sons, Curt Weaver of Mohnton, PA and Mark Weaver of New Alexandria, PA; her granddaughter Heather (Weaver) Zamora and her husband, Mark, of Bethel Park, PA; and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Snyder and her husband, Jerry, of Marion Center, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Klingensmith, and three sisters, Betty Jane Welch, Wilma Sagrati and Marlene Stewart.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 842 West Whitehall Road, State College, PA at 10:00 a.m., December 22, 2018. Interment will be at the Marion Center Cemetery, Marion Center, PA at a future date.

Memorial contributions in Birdie’s name can be made to the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian or Missionary Funds.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Bertha. Please find comfort in the loving promise from our Heavenly Father Jehovah that we can see our loved ones again right here on earth at John 5:28,29 when He calls them from their memorial tombs.
