Renny B. Baney, 41, of Julian, passed away suddenly on the evening of Saturday, September 1, 2018. Born on March 11, 1977, in State College, he was the son of Elizabeth A. Baney, who survives him at her home in Petersburg. On August 20, 2014, he married the love of his life, Deborah (Mesmer) Baney, who is surviving him at home.
Renny was a 1995 graduate of State College Area High School. He went on to attend CPI, where he attained his inspection certification. He worked as an auto mechanic.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kyla Baney (and fiancé Tyler Bierly) of Julian, and two sons, Douglas Baney of Mill Hall, and Steven Baney of Julian; one step-daughter, Serenity Packer of Julian, two step-sons, Mason Packer and Tyler Walk; and one step-granddaughter, Skylor Bierly. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Julie Mesmer and Marie Mesmer, and brother-in-law, Zane Mesmer; one nephew, Anthony Baney, and four nieces, Nevaeh Baney, Celina McGrail, Destiny Mesmer, and Emilee Webster.
Renny loved to spend time with his family and they will treasure the memories that were made with him. He enjoyed playing golf and pool. He played on the Bellefonte VFW pool league, where he won the MVP in the league.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 6pm at the Unionville and Union Township Community Center at 201 Allegheny Street in Julian with Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
