Helen P. Corman, 95, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Oaks in Pleasant Gap. Born on April 11, 1923, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Ralph William and Mary Jane (Holderman) Moyer. In 1943, she married the love of her life, Donald William Corman, who preceded her in death in February 2014 after sharing 71 years of marriage together.
Helen attended Bellefonte Area High School. She went on to work in the former housekeeping department at Penn State. After working at Penn State, her focus was raising her family at home.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Donna Kroner (Robert) of Greenville, and Trudy Kline (Gregory) of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Michael Kroner of Erie, Jeffrey Kroner of Discovery Bay, CA., Barbara Rockey of Jacksonville, and Jennifer Baer of Virginia; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Jim Moyer and Ralph Moyer, and one sister, Shirley Rote.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Helen was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed her home at the Oaks in Pleasant Gap and watching two of her favorite shows in the evenings, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was very fond of going to flea markets and enjoyed collecting antique glassware. She became more involved in the buying and selling process of the glassware. Helen even had a booth at the flea market at the Clinton County Farmers Market where she would set up her glassware for everyone to see and buy. She made many lasting friendships with the people that shared similar interests.
There will be a graveside service for close family and friends held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10am at Meyer Cemetery in Bellefonte with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
