Marcia W. Noll, 78, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on September 7, 1939, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Sara (Ziegler) Whitehill. On June 20, 1959, in Pleasant Gap, she married George “Whitey” Noll, who survives at home after sharing 59 years of marriage together.
Marcia was a 1957 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She held many positions over the years with two of the most notable being with Dr. Hugh J. Rogers and Penn State Sports Medicine.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Leslie Infield (Jay) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lori Lance (James) of Glen Ridge, N.J., and one son, Brad Noll (Tracy) of Spring Mills; she was Nana to seven grandchildren, Sara Infield, Laura Infield, Matthew Infield, Taylor Noll, Morgan Noll, Madison Lance, and Sydney Lance. Also surviving is one brother, David Whitehill (Iris) of Alexandria, VA.
Marcia was an active member at Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. She enjoyed volunteering and did so for many organizations including the election polls, soup kitchen, and for the Victorian Christmas in Bellefonte. In the past, Marcia was also the organist/pianist at the present Axemann United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing card games, reading, exercising at the YMCA, her Deli Breakfast Club, and reconnecting with family and friends each year at Grange Fair.
Friends will be received on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10-11:30am at Faith United Methodist Church at 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church at 11:30am with Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
