Obituary for E. Rose (Hile) Warner

E. Rose (Hile) Warner, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born in Millheim, PA, on June 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Auman) Miller; and was raised by the late Boyd and Ula Lonberger in Pleasant Gap. On June 12, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Edward G. Warner, who preceded in her death on April 23, 1997, after sharing 42 years of marriage together.

Rose was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She worked as a sandblaster at Centre Engineering in State College until retiring in 1986 due to health reasons.

Rose is survived by four children, Rose Marie Corl (Leo) of Bellefonte, Thomas (Deb) of Spring Mills, Donald (Donna) of Zion, and Ronald of Lewistown; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one half-brother, Wayne Miller of Woodward.

In addition to her parents, guardians, and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Edward G. Warner, Jr., and one half-brother, Robert Miller.

Rose was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Pleasant Gap. She was also a member of the Blind Association of State College and the American Legion Post 444 in Millheim.

Ed and Rose loved to collect salt and pepper shakers. She loved Elvis, animals, camping at Knoebel’s Grove, and dining out.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 10-11am at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Shock officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family later.
