Condolences

Condolence From: Keith "Coach" Brennan
Condolence: Barbara,

Extremely sorry to hear the news in regards to Creature. When we met, Creature became an instant father figure to me, with no hesitation and no apologies. I want you to always know that our relationship had profound impact on my life that can never truly be expressed in words. I would like to be there for you and the family. Let me know if there is any thing I can do for you during this life changing event.

Condolence: To Barbara, Emily and Mallory,

We knew Creature for a very long time, through people like Roger. He was truly a character and also a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. I'm sure Caleb was there waiting to greet him when he got there. It is with deepest sympathy that we leave this message. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Condolence: Steve Johnson, Steve Susan, Steve Fink, Creature, and friend to all in Lemont Elementary, it's sad to see you've passed. I remember a game we played. You would shoot an arrow vertically and the bunch of us fellows would run around in circles under the return trajectory wondering how close it would come. We quit when your dog almost got one. You were the first to own a car long before anyone was of age to get a license. The 1954 Merc was fun to do doughnuts with in your backyard until it blew up. God bless and see you soon.

Condolence: Semper Fi Steve. To bad we met so late in life at Centre Crest, I bet we could of had a lot of fun together earlier in our days. R.I.P.

Condolence From: Fran Nuhfer, Centre Crest Garden Volunteer
Condolence: For years Steve greeted me each Tuesday morning at the Centre Crest entrance inquiring about our weekly program. Often he "wheeled" into the programs and always contributed. One week, we did a program on "Wildlife in the Garden" and Steve held us all in suspense while he narrated his experience with a bear. Steve and his buddy took a motorcycle ride up into the mountains and stopped at his friend's cabin. While Steve was sitting in the porch, a bear came by and as I recall went on the porch with Steve. Meanwhile his friend is in the cabin and Steve is trying to get his friend's attention. Later, his friend said the bear was friendly, but Steve said the bear was huge and he was glad to get out of there.

Steve no only greeting us each week, he also was outside to say "Goodbye" when we left the nursing home. On behalf of the garden volunteers, we express our sincere sympathy to the family, and we have been blessed with the opportunity to have shared Steve's life at Centre Crest.

Condolence: Some people in life are UNFORGETTABLE. Mr. Stephen Fink was one of that select group; his personality was bigger than life. Many special memories of Creature and our sincere condolences to his family.

Condolence From: Helene Sheckler (“Doc”)
Condolence: To Steve’s family, please accept my sincere sympathy at his passing. I was his med nurse every evening for a couple of years and, as he reminded me only about a week ago, his “first friend” at Centre Crest. I will miss his humor, and how he loved to talk about Nora. You are in my prayers.
