Linda M. Gummo, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on February 9, 1946, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late James and Alberta (Sager) Watson. In 1964, she married Robert T. Gummo, who preceded her in death in 1979.
She attended Bald Eagle School System. Linda was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her family.
She was a member of Brookside Wesleyan Church in Julian. Linda enjoyed collecting angels, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her extended family in Arizona.
Linda is survived by one son, Donald Gummo of Julian, two daughers, Tracy Ramish (Andrew) of Bellefonte, Marie Smitchko (Doug) of Clarence. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Jesse Ramish (Jerica), Joshua Ramish, Robert Gummo (Destiny), Lacie McCulley (Linn), Kya Cole, Hunter Smitchko (Summer), Katelyn Smitchko, and eight great grandchildren, James, Makayla, Mason, Bailey, Berkleigh, Bennett, Tiven, and Kinley.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorrie Gentzel, and one brother, Gary Watson.
There will be a public viewing held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 6-8pm at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 11:00am at the funeral home with Reverend Bo King officiating. Burial will follow Advent Cemetery, Milesburg.
